Progress creates what will become history with the passing of time as it does with the opening of the fourth bridge to be built over the Main Licking River at Falmouth. A ribbon cutting ceremony was held for the dedication of the latest bridge on Friday, November 16. The beautiful sunny day brought out a large gathering of Pendleton County citizens, elected officials and state employees.
Rob Hans, Kentucky Transportation Department District 6 chief engineer, opened the ceremony with a welcome to all present and recognition of the representatives from the governor's office, Mike Hancock and Robert Moore, Craig Moore, the section supervisor for the bridge project and Nathan Fields, lead inspector, and Len Miller with Hall Contracting.
