Sharp to host "Run For Your Life" Print E-mail

By: Holley Hart and Seth Longworth

At Phillip A. Sharp Middle School, the National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) and the Kentucky United Nation Assembly (KUNA) will be sponsoring a Zombie Fun Run on Friday, November 2 at Sharp Middle School.  The “Run for Your Life” Run will feature two starting times.  The first run will be one mile and will start at 5:30 p.m and the second run will be a two mile run starting at 6:15 p.m.  At the beginning of  the “Run for Your Life” you will be given a belt with two streamers.  The goal is to end the run with a streamer still on your belt. Throughout the trail Zombies will try to steal your streamers.  If you finish the run with a stream you have saved yourself and helped to save the world.  The price will be $15 per runner if you would like a t-shirt and register by October 29.  All NJHS and KUNA members have sign-up sheets for the run.  Registration forms are also located in the main office at Sharp Middle School.  On-site registration to run will be $5 per runner but will not include a t-shirt. Proceeds from the Zombie Fun Run will go to the YMCA World Hunger Fund.
