Jodi Ramey announces candidacy for city council Print E-mail

My name is Jodi Chaplin Ramey and I am a candidate this November for Falmouth City Council.  I reside at 204 W. 4th Street with my two daughters, Addison Jo and Elli Brooke.  I was born and raised in Pendleton County, the daughter of David and Billie Jo Chaplin.

I am a proud graduate of Pendleton County High School in 1993. After high school, I attended the University of Kentucky and graduated in 1998 with a degree in Agriculture Education/Ag Economics. Following graduation, I began my teaching career with Boone County Schools and then on to Fleming County Schools for a total of 12 years in the education field.  Two years ago, I returned HOME to Pendleton County, where I am currently employed by Pendleton County Schools in the South Family Resource Center, which serves Pendleton County High School and Southern Elementary.

Desiring to take an active role in my community, I am currently serving as a member of the Pendleton County Youth Fair Board, Pendleton County 4-H Council, and Champions.  Although running for Falmouth City Council is a new endeavor for me, I feel that it is an appropriate one - one where I can listen to the residents, use my problem-solving expertise, and hopefully come up with new ideas to improve the city of Falmouth.

I have too much love and respect for Falmouth, Kentucky, to sit idle. There is too much to be done. If elected, I will use the same ambition and drive that has enabled me to overcome obstacles in life. I will take the lessons I’ve learned raising my daughters to focus on the key issues of our beloved town that will make Falmouth, Kentucky a better place for our residents. I would appreciate your support when you go to the polls in November.  Working together for a better town, the place we call home!
