|Tom McKee running for re-election for State Rep|
Tom McKee is proud to serve the 78th House District in the Kentucky General Assembly. The 78th District includes Harrison, Pendleton, Robertson, and Southern Campbell counties.
Representative McKee is the primary sponsor of over forty bills that are now law. His legislative efforts have benefited education, agriculture, and the health and welfare of Kentucky's citizens.
Representative McKee, who is a farmer, currently serves as chairman of the House Agriculture and Small Business Committee. He also serves on the Tobacco Task Force.
During his tenure as a legislator, he has either sponsored or served as primary co-sponsor of several major laws affecting farming. McKee has been an outspoken supporter of the Kentucky Agricultural Development Fund investments made through cost-share programs on the local level. Speaking from experience as a farmer, Tom McKee has seen how cost-share opportunities have helped his neighbors and farmers across the state make much needed improvements to their farming operations.
In addition to chairing these committees, Representative McKee is also a member of the Tourism Development and Energy Committee, which has helped him better serve the district's two major state parks, Blue Licks State Resort Park and Kincaid Lake State Park. McKee is also a member of the Local Government Committee and the Budget Sub Committee on General Government.
McKee has a 99.9% voting record and did not miss a vote in the 2012 session. This voting record is a testament to his integrity and his commitment to the people of the 78th District. Tom McKee will continue his efforts to maintain a strong voice in Frankfort for our district.
