|Stella Mains, 92|
She was born in Bracken Co. on August 20, 1920 to the late John and Pearl West Haley. She was married to Hansel Mains and had nine children and worked for 31 years. Stella donated a kidney to her son Randell in 1965, one of the first kidney transplants done. She loved quilting and made hundreds for her friends and family.
Preceding her in death were parents, John and Pearl West Haley; husband, Hansel Mains (1974); sons, Randell Mains (1984), Ronnie Mains (2011); brother, Elmo Haley; and sisters, Velma Workman and Elizabeth Florer.
Surviving are sons, Melvin Mains, Falmouth, David Mains ,Butler; daughters, Margie Rose, Falmouth, Wanda Jones, Berry, Kathryn Davis, Jonesville, Joan Brock, Morrow, Ohio, Virgline Bishop, Demossville; sisters, Louella Hill, Falmouth, Effie Sutter, Moscow, Ohio, Ruth McNeese, Brooksville; 14 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were Thursday, September 20, 2012 also at the Peoples Funeral Home, Falmouth.
Interment took place at the Bracken Memorial Cemetery- Bracken County.
