Ladycats beat Covington Latin and Owen County

On Monday, September 10 the Ladycats travelled to Covington Latin. With the blow of the first whistle, the Ladycats came out full force. They were winning first touches and keeping pressure on Covington Latin’s defense. This would allow the Ladycats the first goal of the game. Sophomore McKayla Manor would drive to the corner pulling defense pressure from Covington Latin out of the middle of the field. Freshman Erin Fitzpatrick would take advantage of this space and sprint to the opening. McKayla would see the run and chip the ball giving Erin a wide opener header that would fall into the goal.
