When the Pendleton County Wildcats soccer team learned that senior defender MacKenzie Colvin would be out 4-6 weeks following surgery to repair a fractured foot that he suffered in an August 18th loss at Highlands, it along with head coach Lisa Feltner knew that his presence in the lineup would be sorely missed.

The team hosted three home games last week and came away with just one victory. And the losses the club suffered showed a glaring weakness on the defensive side of the field. Colvin, playing the centerback position, is the anchor of the defense, and coach Feltner was very concerned about how her team would fair without her reliable senior.
