The Pendleton County Ladycats started their season with a home game Wednesday, August 15 against the Bourbon County Royals. A new line-up, a new dynamic and a new team appeared with the blow of the first whistle. The Ladycats came out with some force. The ball was kept on Bourbon County’s side of the field for most of the first half. The girls were even able to get a few shots off. However, a foul led to a direct kick on the 18 that resulted in a goal 10 minutes into the game.
