The Pendleton County Fiscal Court set the levels of 2012 county taxes and the 2012 mental health tax using the compensating rate only, which is the same as last year or 2011. The county tax rate is 15.8 per $100 valuation. The mental health rate is 2.6 per $100 valuation This action was taken because of the current negative economic situation. Judge Bertram said it was inappropriate to raise taxes on citizens at this time.
