Geneva Norton, 90 Print E-mail

Geneva J. Norton, 90, of Butler passed away Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at St. Elizabeth Hospice Unit in Ft. Thomas.

Born in Brooksville on July 28, 1921, she was a member of Butler Methodist Church and was a Kentucky Colonel. She was retired from the Internal Revenue Service.

Preceding her in death were parents, Willis and Hazel Workman Jett; husband of 59 years, Elmer W. Norton; sister, Alberta Paul; and brother, Ted Jett.

Surviving are sons, Elmer Lynn (Jackie) Norton, Falmouth and Steve Norton, Butler; sisters, Kay (George) Poole, Mooreshill, Ind. and Linda (Chester) Wiggins, Independence; brother, Bob Jett, Brooksville; grandchildren, Victoria (Adam Engnes) Norton, Gary Norton, Amy (Stuart) Jaskowiak and Kim (Paul) Noll; great-grandchildren, Tiffany, Hunter, Nathan, Kaleigh, Brooklyn, Austin and Catilyn; longtime friends, Minnie Bobb and Ruth Bowling, Butler; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, June 9, 2012 at Peoples Funeral Home, Butler and officiated by pastor David Johnston.

Serving as pallbearers were Gary Norton, Nathan Norton, Adam Engnes, Ken Paul, Stuart Jaskowiak and Paul Noll; and honorary pallbearers were Austin Norton, Hunter Jones, Scott Norton, Tim Norton, Jim Fetters and Scott Nordheim.

Interment took place at Butler Cemetery.
