James Kelly, 85 Print E-mail

James E. Kelly, 85, of Ft. Mitchell, passed away on Saturday, March 31, 2012 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood.

He was a member of Blessed Sacrament Church, an extensive world traveler, a retired Lt. Colonel with the United States Army, a WWII and Korean War Veteran, and a graduate of the Command and General Staff College, Leavenworth, Kan. James was an advisor to the Iranian Government for the U.S. Army and a real estate broker for 26 years with Sallee Realty and Coldwell Banker.

Surviving are his wife of 62 years, Mary Kelly, of Ft. Mitchell; children, Linda Karaus (Gregory) of Aspen, Colo., Cynthia Vigil (Gary) of San Francisco, Calif., Robert Kelly (Terri) of Union, Thomas Kelly (Melissa) of Florence; brothers, Joseph Kelly (Connie) of Logandale Nev. and  Patrick Kelly (Betty) of Vinton, Va., and grandchildren, Megan Karaus, Brian Kelly, Madison Kelly, Morgan Kelly, Malia Kelly, Michael Vigil, and Jonathan Vigil.

Mass of Christian burial was  held at Blessed Sacrament Church in Ft. Mitchell on Tuesday, April 3.

Entombment took place at St. Mary Cemetery in Ft. Mitchell.

Arrangements were handled by Linnemann Funeral Home in Erlanger.
