John Webster, 79 Print E-mail

John Franklin Webster, 79, of Elsmere passed away Friday, March 30, as a resident of Batavia Nursing & Care Center.

John was born on February 26, 1933 in Newport where he also attended high school. He had many jobs including Exquisite Laundry Services where he was the recipient  of ten outstanding driving awards, he was also a manager of Standard Oil in Lakeside Park and his last and favorite  job was for  the IRS as a maintenance man. He enjoyed working on cars, fishing and reading the newspaper. John lost his battle with bladder cancer while residing at Batavia Nursing/ Destiny Hospice Care Center, Batavia, Ohio.

Preceded in death by parents, Oscar and Maude Harrison Webster and 15 brothers and sisters.

Survivors include wife, Arlene Webster, Elsmere; daughter, Diane Webster (Michael) Daulton, Ryland Heights; grandchildren, Michael Lee Dalton Jr., Kan., Christi Lynne Saylor, Ky. and John Anthony Dalton, Va.; and great- grandchildren, Jacob, Christian, Matthews, Waylon, Isaac, Wyatt and Katie Daulton, Fellicia Embry, Dylan Scates and Trenton Saylor; nephews, Woodrow Wilson Webster II, San Antonio, Texas, Frank Webster, Fayetteville, Ohio and Randy Vater, Erlanger; nieces, Rhonda Collins, Ludlow, Tammy Hall, Alexandria, Debbie Musselman, Ky., Leta Drew, Ky. and Diane Seo, Covington; cousins, Joyce "Caroline" White, Florence, Patty Cox, Cincinnati and Mable Roller, Independence.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with funeral service to immediately follow Tuesday, April 3 at Peoples Funeral Home, Butler.

Interment will take place at Flour Creek Cemetery.

Memorials suggested to American Cancer Foundation or to a charity of your choice in John's name if so desired. He will be missed dearly by so many. May you rest peacefully Dad and shine in the glory of God.
