Irene Jackson Caldwell, 86

Irene Jackson Caldwell, 86, of Butler, passed away Friday, March 16 at the River Valley Nursing Home.

Irene was born in Cannon, Ky. on June 27, 1925, daughter of the late Grover and Emma Hurst Jackson.

Irene was a member of the Mt. Moriah Christian Church where she served as a Sunday school teacher and  member of the ladies aide.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Melvin Caldwell Jr.; son, Dwight Caldwell; daughter, Regina Caldwell; sisters, Mable Blackaby, Lois Burnett, Delcie Roberts and Dorothy Kelly Reeves; brothers, Clinton, Arnold, Lilbern, Charlie and Kenneth Jackson.

Survivors include, daughters, Bonnie (Verne) Epperson and Jurene Bockerstette, Florence; brother, Elmer Jackson Latonia; grandchildren, Jason Bockerstette and Daniel Caldwell;  and great-grandchildren, Mollykate Caldwell and Liam Caldwell.

Visitation will be noon to 3 p.m. with funeral service to follow Tuesday, March 20 at the Peoples Funeral Home, Butler.

Internment will take place at Butler Cemetery.
