No. 9 Kentucky Falls at No. 24 DePaul Wednesday

CHICAGO – Chasity Patterson scored 22 points and Dre'una Edwards had 18 points and grabbed 12 rebounds, but the ninth-ranked Kentucky women's basketball team lost for the first time this season, falling to No. 24 DePaul 86-82 on Wednesday at Wintrust Arena.

Barnhart Removes Interim Tag, Names Kyra Elzy Head Coach

LEXINGTON, Ky. – University of Kentucky director of athletics Mitch Barnhart has removed the interim tag and officially named Kyra Elzy, a Kentucky native who has spent nearly a decade on the UK staff, as the program’s eighth head coach.

John Schlarman to Receive Broyles Lifetime Achievement Award

LEXINGTON, Ky. – Former University of Kentucky offensive line coach John Schlarman has been given posthumously the Broyles Lifetime Achievement Award, it was announced today by the Frank & Barbara Broyles Foundation. In the summer of 2018, Schlarman was diagnosed with cholangiocarcinoma.

PC Softball helps others over holidays

    The Pendleton County Ladycat Softball team  is looking to make a difference over the holidays.     They are collecting items to make care packages for the homeless to be distributed in Newport this weekend. Another project the team is contributing to is  adopting a family to sponsor as a team.

Caudill to play soccer for Midway

    Pendleton County High School boy’s soccer star Ty Caudill is going to Midway College next season to play soccer.     The senior soccer player had an outstanding year, scoring nine goals and recording eight assists as he helped the Wildcats rack up seven victories and two tie games this season.
