Volleyball swats the Bluejackets on way to championship game

Ladycat Volleyball hosted the first game in the district tournament facing Nicholas County. The Ladycats won the first set 25-11 with good communication and ball movement.
The second set saw the Lady Bluejackets come back with determination and control the set until the Ladycats were finally able to move into the lead at 14-13. Neither team could get enough momentum as numerous vollies kept the action fast and entertaining. After some strong net play by Addyson Crouch and Allison Aulick the Ladycats held on to take the set 25-23.
The last set Nicholas County’s spirit seemed to be broke as the Ladycats controlled the tempo and the setters were placing the ball perfectly for the outside hitters. Pendleton County captured the set with a 25-16 score and the game 3-0.
They faced a powerful Harrison County team in the championship, but could not slow the perrinial district power finishing runner up.
