The PCHS Tennis program debuted their highly-anticipated new complex on April 2 that'll serve as the official home court going forward. In the 43-year history of the program, this marks the first time it's ever had an "official" home court.
Prior to the matches with Montgomery County, school superintendent Joe Buerkley addressed the crowd with a short speech describing the process that made the new complex possible. The new, four-court complex is located at Sharp Middle School near the football field. With boys' top seed Braydon Askren sidelined due to illness, senior Adam Beebe stepped up to fill in but fell in two sets. Also seeing action in singles play was Chance Enzweiler and Leo Maddy, who dropped their matches, as well as doubles competitors Josh Browning/Colton Bishop and Alex Mosley/Mason Ammerman, who also lost to their Montgomery County opponents.
Earlier in the week, the team traveled to Campbell County. The doubles duo of Browning and Bishop dropped their match in a super tie break.
This week, the team will not have any scheduled matches due to spring break but will be practicing. The next home match is scheduled for April 14.
