Spring Sports Preview

The Pendleton County Tennis team is looking forward to getting the season started. Head Coach Dillon Feltner and Lisa Feltner are excited and looking forward to the season as they believe the teams look solid despite having just one senior on the team. But they have high hopes with several returning players and new prospects.
The boys team has a seasoned player in Braydon Askren as the #1 singles looking to make a run at regionals this year. Returning 8th graders Josh Browning and Colton Bishop slated to return as #1 doubles team in their second season. Senior Josh Craig is returning as #2 single. The team has a new but strong looking #2 doubles team of juniors Adam Beebe and Chance Enzweiler. Gavin Webster returns and the coaches have high hopes for him to have a solid season again this year. Newcomer Jaren Ashcraft is making strides in his first season on the courts.
The girls team has Lilly Ashcraft returning as #1 doubles with a new partner this year in freshman Chloe Holbrook, who is starting her third season and they are looking forward to a strong doubles team from this duo this season. Returning for their third season is Sophie Richie and Leah Rardin who are only freshman but will be playing #1 and 2 singles and #2 doubles team this season. New players joining the girls team this season include London Johnson, Shenoah Henson, Cassie Callahan and Maray Kinney.
On March 17, the team travels to take on St. Patrick, hosts Scott on March 18 followed by a home match with Simon Kenton on March 20 and road match with Montgomery County on March 21.
