The Kentucky Wolfpack Soccer Club has been created and its mission is to give back to the community. We wanted to engage the kids here in hopes of attracting more interest in the sport. Over the years, soccer has grown exponentially in surrounding counties, and in the US. When I took over as JV coach for the boys soccer team, I noticed a skill gap between where we were, and where other kids in surrounding counties are. Other counties have better access to club soccer since they’re closer. Here in Pendleton you have to drive an hour one way or another to get kids that opportunity to play club sports, plus it’s very expensive. We believe that providing a higher quality experience to our younger kids will directly translate into success at the high school level and beyond. We wanted to provide an outlet for kids to enjoy club style ball, at recreation level prices. I believe adding these types of programs will greatly benefit our youth here in Pendleton County.
We focus on the fundamentals and hard work, without sacrificing fun. We will be offering soccer trainings, speed and agility classes as well as fun soccer camps.
We currently have an indoor league for 3/4th, and 5/6/7th grade kids that would like to play indoor soccer. This is for boys and girls and will be for all skill level. Registration is open until the 16th of December and spaces are limited. Fees are $75 per child, which includes personalized jersey, shorts, socks and a team bag.
All proceeds for this league will go directly to our Pendleton County Wildcat Soccer Team. Our goal is 3 teams of 8 for each group, playing 5v5. We are going to hold games and practices at Flour Creek Christian Church in Butler, and a tournament at the end of season at the Creek Center.
