Nate Jones, who was drafted by the Chicago White Sox in 2007 and went onto pitch in the major leagues for over a decade, was recently selected to be apart of the inaugural class for the newly-formed 10th Region Baseball Hall of Fame.

Jones, who resides in Pendleton County and currently serves as head coach for the PCHS Wildcats baseball program, joins a 10-man group made up of past baseball standouts from around the area. Other members of the 2025 class are: Mac Whitaker, Shon Walker, Dion Newby, Billy K. Anderson, Travis Sims, Woodie Fryman, Cary Barr, Matt Ginter and Scott Schweitzer.

"It's definitely an honor to be inducted into the 10th Region Hall of Fame. You look at the other names that have been inducted in this year as well and can't help but feel grateful for this opportunity," Jones stated following his selection.

The prestigious group of inductees are set to be honored at a banquet later in the spring. The 10th Region Baseball Hall of Fame was organized by Will Jones, a Bracken County alum who founded 10thRegion.com along with various other 10th Region platforms on social media. Jones compiled a list of nominees dating back to 1932 and the final group was narrowed down and voted on by 10th Region baseball coaches and media members who have covered the sport.
