Coen Fuller flew across the Bracken County hilltops in the Bracken County Border Clash for a first place finish in Long Jump.
He posted a distance of 19’ 1 1/4” which was almost a foot further than teammate Kensey Elliot who finished second. He jumped 14’ 10”
Tyler Redden finished fifth with a jump of 14’10” and Johnathan Roenker was sixth at 13’ 8 1/2”.
Fuller had a strong opening meet for the season finishing second in the Boys 100 Meter Dash finals running a 12.61 time. Caleb Rogers, 13.50, and Shawn Redden, 14.62, also competed at the distance.
The boys 4x800 meter relay team finished first with a time of 9:25.57.
Garrett Jack finished second in the boys 400 meter dash finals with a time of 56.14 with teammate Evan Steward finishing seventh at 1:05.35.
Klaber Wolfe finished second in the boys 3200 meter run with a time of 11:56.57.
Roenker finished seventh in the boys 800 meter run with a time of 2:35.01.
The boys 4x100 meter relay team finished third at 49.99. According to Coach Craig Chaplin, the team broke the school record in the 4x100.
In the other two field events (along with long jump), Mac Tackett was the highest finisher in discus for Pendleton County with a fifth place finish. He threw for 89’ 3”. Tyler Redden’s 79’ 8” was good for seventh while Blaine Pugh’s 75’ 1” finished eighth.
In Boys shot put, Tyler Redden finished just out of the medals in fourth place with a distance of 34’ 2 3/4”. Blaine Pugh was just behind him in sixth with a distance of 29’ 4 3/4”.
Tackett also competed in shot put and finished eighth at 29’ 4 3/4” while Shawn Redden threw for 26’ 4 1/2”.
On the girls side, they competed inm four events.
Senelien Washington competed in both discus and shot put. She threw for 49’ 1” for third place in discus and 18’ 5 3/4” in shot put for fourth.
Kearstin Meyer ran her first race of her track career in girls 1600 meter run and finished in fourth with a time of 7:23.74.
Addison Himes sped to an eighth place finish in Girls 100 Meter Dash with a time of 16.05.
