 On September 23, the Pendleton County cross country team competed at the Bluegrass Invitational at Masterson Station in Lexington. It was a very large meet with 20 teams entered.  

The Wildcat varsity boys placed 17th.  According to Coach Chaplin, “Four of my top five varsity runners, Evan Stewart, Tanner Morris, Miles Collins, and Ben Brossart, got all-time personal records on this course. They really did well and I am so proud of them.”

There were 197 runners in the 5K race.  Evan Stewart placed 75th with a time of 18:39. Klaber Wolfe came in 114th with a time of 19:46 and Tanner Morris came in 121st with a time of 19:58.  Other points earners for the Wildcats were Levi Wolfe, Miles Collins, Ben Brossart, and Austin Callen.  For the boys’ 3K, Branden Connor ran 22:12.

For the girls’ 5K varsity, Aryanna Soden ran 30:36 and Abby Wooten ran 36:09.  In the 3K race, Hallie Soden ran 30:36.  On September 30, the team will compete in the Hopewell Invitational in Bourbon County.
