Dear Pendleton Co. Residents:
On October 28, 2023 the youth group of Knoxville Baptist Church picked up trash along a five mile stretch of KY 491; and a five mile stretch along KY 467. During this cleanup we collected well over 20 large bags of garbage, as well as other big items.

I've stumbled into a reflective mood since my sweet wife passed away six months ago. I thought life was all about Coca-Cola and peanut butter-frosted brownies, but now, without Terry, I'm not so sure.

The ghost of Christmas gorging past is barging upon us today with all the subtlety of a hippopotamus in an egg farm. So what? Trust me, you’ve already worked off all those holiday fudge and cookie calories.

The leaves have fallen. It’s time to rake and gather them up, take them into the gardens, to warm the earth and soil as compost for a new season of spring and new growth.
Mr. Belcher,
I just want to tell you that your article explaining the role of the press and its First Amendment Right/Responsibility in the November 28, 2023 issue was an excellent article.

It’s not exactly the ghost of Christmas past, but some memories do swirl around my brain. The one that haunts me the most is when my then-wife and I decided to dance.
Not just any dance. I don't dance, after all.
