Butler Christ Community

Greetings friends, have you ever wondered what defines you as a Christian?

Pastor Ron spoke to us from 1 Peter 2:1-10 on Sunday about what it means to be a Christian. With Jesus as our cornerstone we are to be his followers, sharing the gospel , living for Jesus instead of the world, and nurturing our faith by reading and studying the Bible.

The men’s prayer breakfast will be starting on June 6 at 8:30 a.m.

The youth will be having a special Saturday soon.

Please pray for our sick ones this week including David Pribble, Mike Eckerle, Jill, Curt, Betty, Ruth, and Brenda. We were glad to have Carolyn back with us after a long illness. And so glad Mary is feeling much better.

Come worship with us, we are like family, only better (you don’t have to take us home).

Bro. Mark’s message was from Luke 24:13-32.

Sunday morning two of Jesus’ followers were walking. As they walked Jesus came along and joined them. They didn’t recognize Him, for God kept that from them. What is your concern? Cleopas replied, you must be the only person in Jerusalem who hasn’t heard what terrible thing happened there last week. Jesus who was a Prophet did incredible miracles and was a mighty teacher was condemned to death and crucified. Wasn’t it clearly predicted by the prophets that the Messiah would have to suffer all these things before entering his time of glory? When Jesus decided to open their eyes to let them know who He was He disappeared. They returned to Jerusalem filled with mighty joy, praising God. God knows our every thought! There is forgiveness of sins for all who turn to me.

Trinity Southern Baptist

It was a beautiful Sunday at Trinity Southern Baptist Church as the congregation celebrated continued life change and momentum. Two individuals followed in baptism, bringing the total to 21 baptisms so far this year, along with one salvation. The church also launched its Youth Camp Sponsorship initiative, giving members an opportunity to invest in the next generation. Pastor Abram continued the “Build the Future” sermon series, casting vision for the church’s mission and what lies ahead.

The excitement isn’t slowing down with another baptism already scheduled for this coming Sunday as God continues to move in powerful ways.

The community is also invited to a special Mother’s Day service on May 10 at 9 a.m. or 11:30 a.m. Trinity welcomes families and individuals alike to come celebrate, worship, and be part of what God is doing right here in Falmouth!

Hymns have been sung for years, do we really listen to the words, or has it become routine? Take the time to let the words sink in and hear how they instruct us to serve Jesus.

The children’s message was God Wants Us To Work Hard, from 2 Thessalonians 3:6-13. This passage is a warning not to be idle; Jesus has much for us to do.

Kandace Winstead read Phillipians 2:12-13, followed by special music, Me On Your Mind.  Bro. Dale’s message Saved To Serve, “For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” Ephesians 2:10.

Take time to pray – for your family, friends, neighbors, everyone in our community.
