FAITH & VALUES

September 9, 2025

Blanket Creek

We had a really good crowd this week although we had several out sick. Praying they will be better next week.

Acts 5:17-42 “Do we Listen to God or Man?” The Apostles were thrown into prison for teaching God’s word but went right back to it when released. Vs. 29 says “But Peter and the other apostles answered and said: We ought to obey God rather than Man.” Who do you strive to please God or Man?

Please remember the families of David Cooper, Louise Rieske and Gwen Shields.

New Life Wesleyan

Fall is in the air. VBS was wonderful and camp for the children was awesome. Everyone is back in school and the Wool Festival is right around the corner.

Sunday school is always fun and a great learning experience. Church is absolutely wonderful. God is good and His people are wonderful. Come see us anytime.

We attended the Gideon Pastor Appreciation Banquet Saturday night, Sept. 6. It was well attended. Everyone was so moved by the guest speaker’s message. Bro. Tim Darland was motivating, inspirational, and shared his testimony with power. It was an inspiring and thought-provoking message.

Our church so much appreciates and loves our local Pendleton County Gideon Camp.

Oakland Christian

With Bro. Kevin dealing with an illness, Greg Perkins filled the pulpit for us. We enjoyed having him as his message told us to “Find Our Happy Place” and go there. The happiest place is being in the arms of God and being used by the Holy Spirit.

Revival at Oakland begins September 26 morning, and going through September 28 (evenings at 6:30 p.m.) with Bro. Mike Flynn of Grassy Creek Christian Church as our Evangelist.

Pleasant Ridge Baptist

Bro. Mark’s message was from Matthew 6:1-13, "Prayer." When you pray don’t make a spectacle of yourself. The talents and abilities God gives us is to help others. God looks at the heart and why we do the things we do. Prayer is about the intimate relationship we have with the Lord. Can we pray too much? The Bible says to pray without ceasing.  Have God in your thoughts all times. Remember, God knows exactly what you need even before you ask.  Our prayers should always start and end with God.

Trinity Southern Baptist

Sunday morning at Trinity on September 7th was filled with energy and anticipation as we kicked off our new sermon series, "The Math Ain’t Mathing." This thought-provoking journey dives into Old Testament miracles—moments where logic fails but faith prevails. From parting seas to multiplying loaves, we’re exploring how God’s math defies human understanding.

The worship was vibrant, the message was powerful, and the fellowship was strong. As we continue this series, we’re excited to invite our community to upcoming events that reflect our heart for outreach and safety.

Join us for our "Night to Shine" information meeting, on September 15th at 6:30 p.m., where we’ll share how you can be part of this unforgettable prom night for individuals with special needs.

And don’t miss our Cyberbullying and Digital Safety Training on September 25th from 6:30–8:30 p.m.—an essential resource for families navigating today’s digital world.
