FAITH & VALUES

Blanket Creek

This week's scripture was Revelation 12:1-11. Our message was titled,  “The snake will always be a snake.” The snake of course is Satan. He is so evil he and his angels were thrown out of heaven. He now walks the earth to seek and devour us and turn us from the one true God. He doesn’t care about you but Jesus does. To learn more,  read your Bible daily. It’s God’s instruction book for how to live a godly life.

Many were added to our prayer list today as well as the families of Dan Turner, Edwin Powell, Gene Livingood and Chris Roberts.

We are thankful. We are blessed. We are sharing those blessings and thankfulness with you.

Our Pendleton County Cooperative of Churches Old Fashioned Gospel Hymn Sing was absolutely beautiful. Hallelujah! The weather was perfect and almost 200 people were blessed to be there. Many, many churches were represented. And God was glorified.

Come by and join us at New Life Wesleyan Church, 420 Monument St., Falmouth. We would love to see you and fellowship with you.

Have a wonderful day and week.

Bro. Mark’s message was from Romans 8:1.

There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.

Accepted, who doesn’t want to be accepted? If God is an all knowing God he knows everything about you.  The minute you were born and any sins that you would face.  God gave his son Jesus so we could be accepted through salvation.  Satan would love to get us distracted and drive the church members apart.  It’s all about a relationship you have with God to keep the distraction out of your life.  Spend time working on that relationship.  Following after the Holy Spirit leads to life and peace, but following after the old nature leads to death.

The Praise team started the service with This Is The Day, what a great way to start the service! The children’s message, The Widow’s Mite, from Mark 12:38-44 “… Jesus said, ‘Truly I tell you, this poor widow has put more into the treasury than all the others. They all gave out of their wealth; but she, out of her poverty, put in everything-all she had to live on.’” (vs 43-44) It isn’t always the largest that has the most meaning, sometimes we have to dig down deep to serve the Lord.

The Praise team special was Living Hope, followed by Callie, Kiersten, Maya, Asis, and Brystal sharing their experiences at Crossings Camp this year.

Bro. Dale’s message Celebrating Our Youth was from II Timothy 2:1-5. The three points of the message were Be Strong, Endure Hardship, Teach Others. All of these can be accomplished with a relationship with Jesus Christ. Join us in praying for the young people; the days are tough and they are faced with tough choices, some that can only be made wisely with Jesus in their heart.
