FAITH & VALUES

April 29, 2025

Blanket Creek

We started the day with sunrise service and breakfast afterwards.

Worship service, scripture came from John 20. “He is Alive!” People have a hard time believing in something they can’t see. Thomas had to see and feel Jesus after his resurrection in order to believe it was Him.

We breathe the air that keeps us alive but we can’t see it. Shouldn’t we be the same way with Jesus?

Please remember the families of Bessie Hopkins, Chris Bryant and Marjorie Adams.

Join us for Sunday school at 10 a.m. and worship service at 11 a.m.

Bro. Mark’s message was from John 20:11-29.

On the way to the tomb early morning they were trying to figure out how to roll away the stone. Mary had returned to the tomb and was standing outside crying. She stooped and looked in and saw two white robed angels sitting at the head and foot of the place where Jesus had been lying. The angels asked why are you crying. They have taken away my Lord. Jesus was standing behind her but she did not recognize him. It took just one word “Mary,” which caused her to know who was behind her, “Master!” Jesus had to prove to Thomas that he was alive. You believe because you have seen me. But blessed are those who haven’t seen me and believe anyway.

God meets us right where we are. Some are going through difficult times.

Are you one of God’s children?

Palm Sunday was a blessed service. Bro. Dale’s message was The Triumphal Entry, Matthew 21:1-11. In these verses people cried out “Hosanna in the highest,” not aware of what would happen in the next few days.

In this service Hannah Cruz-Ramirez read scripture, Luke 19:37-38 and the Praise Team had special music.

On Thursday, we had a service in remembrance of the Last Supper. Saturday the children’s egg hunt was at the church. And on Sunday morning we celebrated at sunrise service because, “Up from the Grave He Arose!”

At 10 a.m. we had Bible study, then at 11 a.m. we gathered to worship, “Because He Lives.”

“The Case of the Empty Tomb,” was the children’s message, followed by scripture reading from Matthew 28:5-7, by Emily Best.

The Praise Team sang King of Kings, then Bro. Dale brought his message from God’s word; “Our Greatest Need,” Luke 24:46-48. The forgiveness of sin, was only possible by the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
