Wanda Faye Pugh Leach, 77, of Alexandria, KY, passed away on Wednesday, September 11, 2024 at the St. Elizabeth Hospital in Ft. Thomas, KY. Born on February 13, 1947 in Harrison County, KY, she was the daughter of the late Adrian and Gladys Price Pugh.
On June 5, 1965 she married Melvin Leach and he survives her passing. Faye, as she was known traveled extensively across the U.S. for pleasure and for her business exhibiting at fairs, festivals, and Christmas markets. She loved meeting new people. She also had a love for flower gardening. Through the years she toured several of the biggest and best botanical gardens in the U.S. and Canada. She had her own botanical garden at home that brought her lots of pride and lots of visitors to her yard.
In addition to her husband Melvin, she is survived by a daughter, Lori Leach; 2 brothers, Gary (the late Bonnie) Pugh, Keith (Nancy Jane) Pugh; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Billy Pugh.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 21 at 12 noon at Woodhead Funeral Home in Falmouth. Pallbearers for the service will be Darell Pugh, Brian Pugh, Anthony Pugh, Darrin Pugh, Jonathan Pugh, and Bradly Pugh. The visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. preceding the service.
Interment will take place at Mt. Vernon Cemetery.
