Ruth McKinney Woods, 95, of Mason, OH, passed away peacefully on April 15, 2021 at her home surrounded by her family. Born in Pendleton County, KY on July 5, 1925, she was a daughter of the late John and Lula Blades McKinney. She was a member of the Neave United Methodist Church and attended faithfully a Tri County Baptist Church in West Chester, OH. After graduating from Morgan High School, she worked at Gibson Greeting in Cincinnati and US Shoe in Norwood, OH. She enjoyed flowers, gardening, making crafts, bowling, and traveling with her two sisters. She married Ray Woods of Walton, KY on June 2, 1951 and he preceded her in death on February 1, 2016. They were married for 65 years and raised childre, Charles Ray (Barbara) Woods of Mason, OH, Rickey Wayne Woods of Liberty Township, OH, and Anita Marie Woods of Hamilton, OH.
In addition to her children, she is survived by grandsons John Ray (Kim) Woods and Michael Edward (Kellie) Woods, great-grandchildren Lillyan Taylor Woods, Brady Ray Woods, Alayna Janice Woods, Rory Hobart Woods, and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Woods, brothers and sisters Elmo McKinney, Shelby McKinney, Juanita McKinney Whitley, Nancy McKinney Kampsen, and John Mc-Kinney Jr.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at 12:00 noon at Woodhead Funeral Home in Falmouth with Bro. Jackie McElfresh officiating. Burial will follow in the Neave Cemetery. The visitation will be held from 10 a.m.-12:00 at the funeral home.
