Mrs. Ruby Keen passed away Friday, July 28, 2023 at her residence in Falmouth, Kentucky. She was 72 years old.
Ruby was born January 14, 1951 in Harlan County, Kentucky the daughter of the late, Hubert Luther Slaven and Dorothy Baute Slaven. Ruby had been a resident of Falmouth for the past 30 years. By occupation she was retired from Textile Industry. Ruby enjoyed sewing and spending time with her family.
Ruby was preceded in death by her beloved parents; loving and devoted husband, Dennis Eddie Keen; cherished son, Dennis Keen, Jr.; treasured granddaughter, Alexandria Keen; sisters, Wanda and Florence; and brothers, Rob and Jerry.
She leaves the following relatives surviving: cherished daughters, Lila Sue Huff and Kelly, Florence, KY and Tita Ann Rogers and Jimmy, Falmouth, KY; brothers, Charles Slaven and Anna, Harlan, KY and Mitchel Slaven and Shelley, Dayton, KY; sister, Kay Woody, Campbellsville, KY, 14 treasured grandchildren and 18 treasured great-grandchildren. Also, a host of other relatives and friends survive.
The visitation will be held on Thursday, August 3, 2023 from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home in Hyden, KY. The funeral service, officiated by Rev. Robert Amundson, will immediately follow at 2 p.m., also at the funeral home. Pallbearers are Bub Keen, Caleb Rogers, TJ Sholler, Stevie Sigmon, and Billy Rogers.
Interment will take place at Woods Cemetery, Hyden, KY.
