Robert Leaman Ammerman of Cynthiana, age 83, passed away on Saturday, June 1, 2024. He was born in Pendleton County on July 16, 1940 to the late Charles H. and Viola Marie Wilson Ammerman. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Wright Ammerman; daughter, Lisa Marie Ammerman; brothers, Buddy Ammerman, Tommy Ammerman and Henry Ammerman; sisters, Kathryn Moore and Lillian Hart.
Bob was a deacon of his church, Blanket Creek Baptist Church, as well as a masonic member of the St. Andrews Lodge #18. He was an avid softball player and had a passion for farming.
He is survived by his son, Mike (Debra F.) Ammerman; brother, Terry Ammerman; grandchildren, Rachel (Beau) Sanders, Sarah Ammerman, and Charlie (Holly) Ammerman; great-grandchildren, Delilah Elizabeth Ammerman, Eliana Monroe Ammerman, Gabriel William Ross, Katherine Clay Ross, Owen Daniel Sanders, and Jack Henry Sanders, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Friday, June 7 at Ware Funeral Home with visitation Thursday, also at Ware Funeral Home.
Interment took place at A. Keller Cemetery. Pallbearers were Charlie Ammerman, Joel Traylor, Phillip Wright, Steve Wright, Phillip McCauley, David Hall, Phillip Kincade, Salvador Achua, Casey Mitchell, Beau Sanders and Mark Ridley. Honorary pallbearers were John Adcock, Lee Allen Judy, James Stone, Mateo Gorrosquieta, Brad Marshall, David Gifford, Mike Kinder, Danny Tackett, Jennifer Strause, Roger Wade, Terry Ammerman, Rachel Sanders, Sarah Ammerman, Holly Ammerman, Debbie Whaley, and Debbie Ammerman.
