Rick Wayne Wilson, 68

Falmouth — Rick Wayne Wilson, 68, of Falmouth, passed away Monday, February 9, 2026, at St. Elizabeth Hospital, in Edgewood.

Born November 4, 1957, Rick was the son of the late Roy Leland and Betty Crofford Wilson.

He dedicated many years of his career to working as a grain merchandiser with Consolidated Grain and Barge Company. In addition to his work in the grain industry, Rick was the proud owner of Time Out Tavern in Falmouth, where he built lasting friendships with many people there.

Rick was an avid University of Kentucky fan who enjoyed all types of sporting events. His love of sports extended far beyond the stands, as he devoted countless hours to coaching recreational sports in Pendleton County. His dedication, encouragement, and generosity impacted the lives of many young athletes and their families, as well as those he coached with. Known for his generous spirit and genuine kindness, he will be missed by many in this community

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Danny Wilson, Rodney Lee Wilson, and Michael Scott Wilson.

He is survived by his siblings, Pat (Kevin) Browning, Nancy (Marty) Crotty, David (Sandy) Wilson, Jim Wilson, Joe Wilson, Bill Wilson; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Services took place Sunday, February 15, 2026, at Woodhead Funeral Home, in Falmouth.

Funeral services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.

His burial took place at Morgan Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to be given to the Joshua Wilson Browning Scholarship Fund.
