Retha Iona Tucker Goins, 79, of Falmouth, passed away at her home on Thursday, October 13, 2022.
She was born on February 12, 1943 to the late Augustus and Louella Stull Tucker, and married Paul D. Goins, who preceded her in death in 2011. Retha was a retired registered nurse and worked for many years at the Falmouth Nursing Home on Barkley Street. She was a member of the Falmouth Wesleyan Church, and enjoyed painting, computer games, BINGO, and most of all she loved spending time with her grandkids.
Along with her husband, Paul, Retha was preceded in death by a son Roger Goins; a grandson Adam Hughes; siblings Bud Tucker, Regina Kuss, Gloria (Clarence) Goins, and Clara (Kenny) Baird.
She is survived by her children: Sonja (Greg) Sydnor, Paul David Goins, Jr., Edith (John) Justice, Georgia (Steve) Goins, Paula Golden, Eugene Goins, and Joseph Goins; Daughter-in-law Rebecca Goins; Grandchildren: Chistopher (Paige) Goins, Corey (Amanda) Goins, Stephen Smiddy Jr. (Victoria), Sarah (Eric) Sydnor, Gregory Sydnor, Caleb Sydnor, Kyle Sydnor, Ryan Sydnor, Stephen Hughes, Paul David (Jenifer) Goins, Joshua Goins, Erica Justice, Elizabeth (Chris) Justice, Travis (Ashley) Golden, Thomas Golden, Audrey (Daniel) Golden, Walker Goins, and Gavin Goins; Siblings Rocky (Linda) Tucker, Neola (Kevin) Lewis; Sister-in-law Wanda Tucker; and numerous great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 20, 2022 at the Woodhead Funeral Home in Falmouth with the funeral service following on Friday.
Interment took place at the Grandview Cemetery in Mentor, KY.
