California, KY — Margaret Alazada Turner, of California, passed away peacefully June 20, 2025, at the age of 101. She was born on February 7, 1924, to the late Richard and Anna (Dixon) Buerkley.
She was the devoted wife of the late Floyd Turner and a member of Second Twelve Mile Baptist Church. Her greatest joys in life were taking care of her grandchildren, cooking, working in the garden and enjoying life on the family farm. She was the last surviving member of the BH&T Milk Transportation Company.
Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents and husband, were siblings, Bill Buerkley and Juanita Burns.
Surviving her are her children, Gary (Glenna) Turner, Myrna (Monte) McElfresh; grandchildren, Gena Lea, Gayle Taylor, Allison Colvin, Lee (Jamie) Turner, Justin (Carrie) McElfresh, Gwen (Mitchell) Haywood, Karsten (Christie) McElfresh; 18 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
Sevices were held Monday June 23, 2025, at Peoples Funeral Home, in Butler.
Burial took place at Peach Grove Cemetery.
