John A. Acton, 85, of Butler, passed away on Monday, October 10, 2022 at his home.
He was born in Peach Grove, KY on September 9, 1937, son of the late John Sr. and Bertha Morris Acton. John was a United States Army Veteran serving 30 years as First Sergeant 1SG in the Army Reserves. He was Computer Maintenance Technician for AT&T and a farmer.
In addition to his parents, John is preceded in death by his wife Janice Faye Osborne Acton.
He is survived by his sons John, Joseph, and Jefferson Acton; daughter Jill Acton Jaiswal; siblings Billy Acton and Ruby Acton Baughan; six grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, October 16, 2022 at Peoples Funeral Home in Butler, with the funeral following on Monday.
Interment took place at the Peach Grove Cemetery.
