James Berchen Shelton, 83, of Sanford, FL, formally of Pendleton County, of passed away Tuesday, November 8, 2022 at HCA Florida Lake Monroe Hospital.
He was born in Barbersville, KY on September 10, 1939 son to the James and Lola Stacy Shelton. James was a Veteran of the United States Army and worked at the Falmouth Outlook for 26 years. After his time with the Outlook, Berch moved to Sanford cooking for the next 28 years at the Cattle Ranch restaurant.
In addition to his parents, James is preceded in death by sister Audrey Harris; three brothers: Thurman, Major General, and Willard Shelton.
Survivors include his children James Shelton, Scott Shelton, and Gail Tucker; a brother Curtis Shelton; and two grandchildren.
Visitation and funeral services were held on Saturday, November 19, 2022 at the Peoples Funeral Home in Falmouth.
Interment took place at Riverside Cemetery in Falmouth, under full military honors.
