Goldie Griffith, 99

Falmouth — Goldie Griffith, 99, of Falmouth,  passed away January 30, 2025.

She was the daughter of the late Gobel and Gertrude McCann. Goldie was born February 24, 1925, in Pendleton County. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, great-great-great-grandmother and loyal friend to many.

Goldie was a devoted member of Roanoke Christian Church for 90 years. She was also honored as a Kentucky Colonel. Her strength, faith and love were an inspiration to all who knew her.

Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents, were  her husbands, Carlos Fornash Sr. and Charles Griffith; sons, Carlos Fornash Jr., William Fornash; son-in-law, Charles Bray; siblings, Bro. James McCann, Virginia Griffin, Junior Richard McCann; granddaughter, Debbie Fornash; grandsons, Butch Bray and Chuck Fornash.

Surviving to cherish her memory are children, Nancy Bray, James Fornash, Trudy Jolley (Bill), Marjie Northcutt (George), Richard Fornash, Charles Fornash (Diane), George Fornash (Sherry), Goldie Spicer (Ken); daughter-in-law, Minnie Fornash; 24 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; and two great-great-great-grandchildren.

Services took place Saturday, February 1, at Woodhead Funeral Home, in Falmouth

Burial was held at Roanoke Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to the Roanoke Cemetery Fund.
