Diane Marie Cooper passed away on March 20, 2023. She was born on October 12, 1947 to Walter Marvin Cooper and Audrey Jean Dean Cooper in Brooksville, Kentucky.
Surviving family members include her daughter, Selena Jean (Artie) Engnes; her son, Derrick Walter Simpson; her step-son Andy (Sandra) Reynolds; her grandchildren, Cooper Scott Engnes and Savannah Jane Engnes; her twin sister, Suzanne (Gene) Weaver; her sister Terry Cooper; and her brother, Michael (Cindy) Cooper. Nieces and nephews include Jackie Sue Wright Shadoan, Trudi Cooper Thacker, Nichole Smoot, Brandon Hall, Jesse Hall, Gina Weaver, and Jessica Cooper.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Monte Cooper and sister-in-law, Jane Cooper.
Diane was a member of Concord United Methodist Church and spent her career in the Bracken County school system as a kindergarten aid, a cafeteria worker, and a custodian. She was an avid reader and an Elvis enthusiast. She will forever be remembered for her thrill seeking sense of adventure and her family pride.
At her request, there will be only a graveside service at the convenience of her immediate family.
