Falmouth — Diane Frances Best Moorhead, 66, of Falmouth, passed away on Wednesday, December 17, 2025 at the University Hospital in Cincinnati. Born on January 25, 1959 in Cynthiana, KY, she was a daughter of the late Robert Best, Sr. and Wilma Ammerman Best.
On October 26, 1979 she married Roger Moorhead and he preceded her in death on April 4, 2015. She was an accountant and partner in Best and Associates in Falmouth, where she worked with her father, mother, brother, and many other family members. Diane was active in her community. She was a member of the Pendleton County Homemakers Mix-Match club as a charter member for 48 years. She was a longtime supporter of the Believers; an organization in Memory of Zach Heringer to raise money for Pediatric Cancer Research. Diane loved to travel, loved to read, was a member of a book club, and long time member of the Falmouth Baptist Church where she was active with the children’s ministry.
She is survived by her 3 children, Brandon (Sarah) Moorhead, Todd (Beth) Moorhead, Andrew (Katie Wallace) Moorhead, a sister, Denise (Jeff) Dean, a brother, Robert ( Rita) Best, Jr., and 5 grandchildren, Clayton, Silas, Emmett, Walter, and one more on the way.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Jillian Mary Moorhead, and her grandparents, Hoyt and Genevieve Best and Roscoe and Mildred Ammerman.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 23, 2025 at 11 a.m., also at the funeral home, with Bro. Ken Allender and Bro. Evan Williams officiating. Pallbearers for the service will be Brandon, Todd, Andrew Moorhead, Bryant Dean, Matthew Best, Kevin Morrison, Clayton Moorhead, and Silas Moorhead. Serving as Honorary Pallbearers will be Emmett and Walter Moorhead.
Burial will follow in the Riverside Cemetery.
