Carletta Kay Hitch King, 80, of Berry, KY passed away on Friday, March 17, 2023 at the UK Bluegrass Hospice Care Center in Lexington, KY. She was born on March 11, 1943 to the late Carl and Louise Mcquinley Hitch. On May 22, 1963 she married Emmett King and her husband would precede her in death in 2002. Kay was a homemaker, a member at Mt. Moriah Christian Church, a member of the Mt. Moriah Christian Church Ladies Aid, and enjoyed spending time with her grandson.
Kay is survived by her daughter, Stephanie (Steven) Bowen of Lexington, KY; grandson Kedir Davis Bowen; siblings Ronnie Hitch and Carolyn Faulkner; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Along with her husband and parents, Kay was preceded in death by two siblings Karen Fields and Darrell Hitch.
Visitation for Kay will take place on Tuesday, March 21, 2023 from 12p.m.-2 pm. at the Woodhead Funeral Home in Falmouth. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. with Bro. Jim Mitchell and Katie Turner officiating.
Interment will take place at the Mt. Moriah Cemetery, and memorials are suggested to the Mt. Moriah Christian Church.
