Bonnie Lou Florence, 84

Bonnie Lou Florence, 84, of Falmouth, passed away at her home on Thursday, August 25, 2022.

Born on April 5, 1938, in Pendleton County, KY, she was a daughter of the late Curry Tivis and Virgie Gladys Powell Russell. Bonnie had a zest for life, and she brightened every room she entered. For decades, she has worked at Howard’s Place, formerly the Dairy Queen, where she served up many a meal with a warm smile, a kind word, and true Southern hospitality. For 10 years, Bonnie worked as a bus driver (#2) for the Pendleton County Schools. She loved her family, friends, and everything about Pendleton County. She was a member of the Falmouth Baptist Church, Woodmen of the World Lodge #611, and volunteered for countless school, church, and community activities. On February 13, 2013, she married Rondall Brock, and her dear husband survives her passing.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two husbands: Paul T. Wolfe (12/19/1985) and Edgar Florence (8/11/2002); her sister, Nelah Kaye Russell; her two brothers: Neal Russell and A. T. Russell; and her brother-in-law, Mike Pribble.

Surviving to cherish her memory are her husband, Ron Brock; her children: Elden (DeeAnna) Wolfe of Owenton, KY, Dixie Lou (Randy) Wells of Falmouth, KY, and Vickie Lynn ( Michael) Geisen of Hamilton, OH; her grandchildren: Chad Wolfe, Scott Wolfe, Ashten Eckler, Mitchell King, Rachel King, Reece Wells, Chase Wells, Madison Geisen, and Nick Geisen; 13 great-grandchildren; her sister, Regina Pribble of Butler, KY; her step-children:  Pam Brock of Butler, KY, Mike Brock and Tony (Sheila) Brock, both of Falmouth, KY; her step-grandchild, Lucy Moore; and dear special friends, Angie Mullins and Rick Mineer of Falmouth, KY; and a host of extended family and friends.

Funeral services were held on Monday, August 29, 2022, at the Falmouth Baptist Church with Bro. Cohen Copley officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Chad Wolfe, Scott Wolfe, Mitchell King, Rachel King, Rick Mineer and Todd Messmer.  The honorary pallbearers will be her co-workers from Howard’s. The visitation took place on Sunday, August 28, 2022, also at Falmouth Baptist Church. Woodhead Funeral Home, Falmouth, is caring for the family.
