Bracket Challenge Update

By: Sam McClanahan

This year's Falmouth Outlook Bracket Challenge is the most wide open contest in recent memory as nearly half the entries are still in the mix to win the top prize.

The NCAA Tournament has reached its final four as Arizona, Michigan, Connecticut and Illinois are still standing and vying for the right to be called this season's national champion. Of the 50 entries received, 22 still have the chance to win the contest, with eight entries still alive to come in second.

Steven Clifford is the current points leader with 310, and he chose Michgan to win the tournament and correctly picked three of the final four teams left playing. Kim Dennie is in second with 305 and she penciled in Arizona to cut down the nets in the championship game.

The final four will be played this weekend when Arizona takes on Michigan and

Connecticut faces Illinois. Due to press deadline, the tournament champion will be crowned after our next edition is printed. Be sure to see next week's issue for the latest standings.
