Jeff, sitting, aptly showed up decked out in his Valentine’s Day headwear. He did a “double blood donation,” a process that uses a machine to separate the red cells, collecting them while returning the other components and a saline solution to the donor.
The Butler Lions Club sponsored a blood drive Feb. 13 at Northern Elementary School. Volunteers boarding the Hoxworth Blood Center bloodmobile helped save 48 lives, according to the Lions. All donors received a vintage crew neck sweatshirt.
