Twenty-eight entries were submitted in the annual Falmouth Outlook Coloring Book kids’ coloring contest.

After debating over the entries, the judges declared a penguin brightly colored by Evelyn Bachman, 7, of California, Kentucky, as their favorite. The young artist used markers, sticking primarily to a red and green palette, accented with orange and blue. For her effort, she wins the $25 first prize.
Second place was awarded to her sister, Lilian Bachman, 12, for a colorful pencil rendition of the Mary holding Baby Jesus. Lilian wins $10.
The third-place, $5 prize was won by Carson Courts, 8, of Falmouth, for a neatly crayon-colored, flushed-cheeked Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer.
