FAITH & VALUES

November 18, 2025

Blanket Creek

We had a packed house this week. Lots of visitors with families. Scripture Matthew 3:13-17 “The Baptism of Jesus,” was selected as we started the service with the baptism of Kyle Florer. We thank God for him and need to walk alongside him in this new journey. Afterwords we had pizza and packed 72 shoe-boxes for "Operation Christmas Child.” It was an awesome day to be busy for the Lord. Thanks to all who helped out.

Let’s remember in prayer the families who lost loved ones this week. Pete Hargett, Ruby Austin and the families of the plane crash in Louisville.

New Life Wesleyan

We started gathering early on Sunday for our free community breakfast as usual, then at 10 a.m., it was Sunday school for all ages, followed by our morning worship at 11 a.m.

Communion is every other Sunday, and this past Sunday was the day. We also had two baptisms. It was a beautiful morning worship service.

Our Sunday evening starts at 5:30 with prayer around the altars, when we pray over all requests and petitions, followed by our 6 p.m. service. Week 1 of the month for evening service is a Bible reading fellowship, week 2 is a hymn sing, week 3 is a devotional and week 4 is kids paint and praise or a puppets show. Whenever there’s a fifth Sunday in the month, we try to have a fellowship meal.

New Life Wesleyan Church, 420 Monument St., Falmouth, is always open, friendly and welcoming to all. Stop by and see us one day. God bless you and keep you in His hands.

Oakland Christian

What a way to start a worship service. We had 3 baptisms at the start. We welcome Travis, Rebecca, and Hannah Saunders into God’s family at Oakland.

Bro. Kevin’s message was “But God. . .” using Ephesians 2:1-5 as text. We were dead prior to Christ coming in our life. With Jesus, we are alive because He chose to die for us.

Next Sunday will be our annual Thanksgiving evening meal at 5 p.m.  Come join us and stay for the musical concert later by Sue Conley and Thomas Mitchell.

Church Board meeting is November 24, 6 p.m.

Plan to attend the Licking Valley Singers concert at Cynthiana Baptist on December 5 at 7 p.m. and December 7 at 3 p.m.

Prayer concerns include Connie Jo Bowling, Jeanine Cox, Sherry Fields, Jesse Browning, Steve and Charlene Herron, Johnny Ray Reynolds, Faye Chinn, Ernie Bishop, Tina Northcutt, John Merrill, Debbie Jeans, Patty Thomas, Benny Vanlandingham, Addison Himes, Dian Caldwell, Billie Conrad, Mark Branham, Benny Bruin, Gary Barnard, Luther Blevins, Jake Meyers, shut-ins, our nation and its military.

Turner Ridge Baptist

Our focus this month is on thankfulness, “Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” 1Thessalonians 5:18.

Sunday, we gave thanks for our veterans, we were able to meet and worship because of the freedom they have provided.

Freddie Brown gave his testimony and gave thanks for the prayers that had been lifted and for the God we serve, the God that provides healing, when doctors alone can’t.

During the children’s message “Lest We Forget” Bro. Dale explained to the kids that we are free to worship because of those that have served in the military, and we should give thanks for their service.

Hannah Cruz-Ramirez read Romans 6:15-18, then Bro. Dale gave God’s message, Thankful for Our Freedom, from John 8:31-32. This scripture teaches us that if we hold to Jesus’ teaching, the truth will set us free.
