The Pendleton County Wildcats soccer team put together it's best week of the season to date in scoring wins over Owen County and Mason County.
The Wildcats cruised to an 8-0 shutout win over Owen County on September 9. Pendleton County dominated from the opening moments as they got three goals from Dawson Nichols, two from Parker McCandless, one each from Jacob and Jayden Frisch, and the first career varsity goal from Jaren Ashcraft. Jacob Frisch also finished with three assists on the night.
Two nights later, the Wildcats hosted Mason County on "Alumni Night" and picked up their signature victory of the season so far in scoring a 3-1 win. Jayden Frisch scored twice and Nichols added a goal en route to the home victory. Goalkeeper Adam Beebe did his part in protecting the net as he racked up 14 saves on the night.
Wildcats head coach Amber Nichols had these words for her squad as they move into the final two weeks of regular season play.
"I'm beaming with pride over these young men from the Mason County win. It was an emotional night for many reasons and there was a lot of PC Pride going on. Now we march onto wrap up the season with purpose beyond the scoreboard."
This week, the Wildcats host Covington Latin tonight for "Senior Night", will host Campbell County on September 18 and will conclude the week at Grant County on September 20th.
