FAITH & VALUES

September 2, 2025

Blanket Creek

Sunday we celebrated 178 years of this church with our annual Homecoming celebration.

We started off with the baptism of twin brothers Liam and Declan Hall. We welcome them into Gods kingdom and our church family.

Special music was by Donnie Gray.

We welcomed guest speaker Bro. Kevin Purcell and his family all the way from North Carolina, where he is currently the Director of Missions. He shared with us in Psalm 134 the most special word “Bless.”  When we worship together we receive a blessing. If we accept the blessings God offers we will see Zion (vs 3) which is God.

Service was followed with a potluck dinner and lots of fellowship.

Pray for the families of Tammy Jones and Gwen Shields.

Turner Ridge Baptist

What an Awesome God was the song our service started with on Sunday. Think about that, its true, we are to serve such an awesome God!

The children’s message, “Run the Race,” was an inspiring lesson for everyone. We might not be able to win the race, but we can finish the race “… let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who … endured the cross, …” Heb 12:1-2.

Bro. Dale shared with the congregation that as he prepares for each service, his prayer is that everyone will hear God’s spirit speaking to them from the scripture and then once they hear, that they will be obedient to what God tells them to do. James 1:22 says be doers of the word not hearers only deceiving your own self. At the end of the outline each Sunday it says, As a result of what God said to me from His Word this morning I will.

What will you do this week with what God has said to you?
