FALMOUTH — Kincaid Regional Theatre opened Ted Swindley’s “Honky Tonk Angels,” on July 10.
The show follows the stories of three gutsy gals from different backgrounds at the moment they decide to take charge of their lives. Their decision to follow their honky tonk dreams leads them all the way to the city of Nashville.
Combining 30 classic country tunes, including “Stand By Your Man,” “9 to 5,” “Harper Valley PTA,” “Honky Tonk Angels” is a hilarious, foot-stomping good time from the creator of “Always…Patsy Cline.”
The cast includes Savannah Boyd, Blair Godshall and Caitlyn Thiel, all residents of Northern Kentucky. With direction by Megan Horton of Norwood, Ohio, the production team, live band, and crew includes residents of Pendleton County, Northern Kentucky and southwest Ohio.
The show is recommended for mature audiences and includes depictions of tobacco and alcohol use, and mild adult language and themes.
Remaining showtimes include 7 p.m. July 17, 18, 19, 24 and 25, and 2:30 p.m. July 19 and 20. Tickets range from $15 to $20 and are available online at www.krtshows.com or at KRT’s box office 45 minutes prior to each showtime.
“Honky Tonk Angels” is presented by Johnson Heating and Cooling.
