Mayer named Mid-South Conference Shooter of the Year

  Kennadi Mayer, a 2023 PCHS alum who is currently a junior and on a full ride scholarship with the University of Pikeville studying Psychology, has had a very successful archery season earning the title as the 2025 Mid-South Conference "Shooter of the Year."

  This award is chosen from all the collegiate coaches. She has earned over 16 medals this season and continues to stay on the Dean’s list. She has one more upcoming shoot in Michigan.

  Mayer has racked up numerous awards during the season including winning gold in the Mid-South Conference individual barebow and team mixed barebow, as well as being named to the all-region team. She also brought home gold in various events which included the USA Target Regionals, 3D Regionals, Mid-South Indoor Championship, Lancaster Classic held in Pennsylvania which saw her place 13th overall in the barebow division facing various pros from around the world, and claiming gold in the U21division at the USA Indoor Nationals.

  Kennadi is the daughter of Eric and Lisa Mayer of Butler and the granddaughter of David and Lu Ann King also of Butler.
