March 4, 2025

Butler Christ Community

Greetings friends, hopefully we will be seeing signs of spring very soon.

Spring is a time of new beginnings, maybe it’s time for a new beginning for you as well. Reading your Bible more, attending church, or sharing your faith with others can be a start.

On Friday March 14 we will have movie night beginning at 6:30 p.m.

The ladies will be meeting for the first time this year on the March 21. All ladies are welcome.

Please pray with us for those who are sick, hurting, scared, or lost!

Come worship with us each Sunday at 11 a.m., children’s church is held at 11:25 a.m.

God bless you.

New Life Wesleyan

Can you hear it? Can you see them yet? Is the ground around you beginning to open up? It is here at our house.  A huge assortment of crocus, daffodils, Iris, lilies and many more spring flowers are popping through the ground. Oh how we love flowers.

New life is springing forth. New Life Wesleyan Church is budding and blossoming. We're excited! We're thankful! We're happy!

Come visit us anytime. It is happening.

Sunday's message was "Let Your Faith Answer Anxiety," using Philippians 4:6-7;19. To deal with anxiety you need to pray about it, take it to God, petition for it, and be thankful.

Don't forget to set your clocks ahead one hour on Saturday night, March 8.

Our 2025 Ladies Day is April 26. You can go ahead and get per-registered by calling the church (859) 654-6174 and leave a message.

Good news — we are having a "Princess Tea" the same day, the same time. We are encouraging you to bring your young daughters (Kindergarten age through fifth grade) to have their own tea time. So when you register yourself, also register your daughter.

Prayer concerns include James & Darlene Godman, Donald & Mary Ann Wenzel, Lisa Blevins, Penny Gallagher, Marvin Marksberry, Lisa Houchen, Chuck Duffy, Edna Turley, Phillip Wood, Betty Anderson, shut-ins, cancer issues, and our nation.

Our sympathy to the family of George Cain.

Bro. Mark’s message was from Romans 7. When Adam sinned, sin entered the entire human race because of that sin. Yes, Adam’s sin brought punishment to all, but Christ’s righteousness makes men right with God, so they can live. God knows everything about us. Eternal life starts once we accept it. We are a new creation, we want to change and live for God. Your old sin nature was buried with him by baptism. My new life tells me to do right, but the old nature that still inside me loves to sin. Who will free me from this deadly lower nature? Thank God, it has been done by Jesus Christ our Lord. He set me free!

The Armor of God served both as the children’s message and Bro. Dale’s sermon on Sunday morning.

During the children’s message Bro. Dale explained that when you ride a motorcycle, it’s best to wear a helmet for protection. For protection in the everyday world we need to wear the armor of God.

Kip Gregg read Ephesians 6:10-12, followed by the Praise Team special, "Jesus Your Name." The Youth then helped Bro. Dale with the sermon.

“The Armor Of God.” 1- The Belt of Truth; 2- The Breastplate of Righteousness; 3- Good News, Shoes of Peace; 4- Shield of Faith; 5- Helmet of Salvation; and 6- Sword of the Spirit, Praying Always! This armor of God, when placed on everyday before we face the evil that can be in this world can be a huge part of our spiritual walk.

“Finally, be strong in the Lord and is his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the Devil’s schemes.” Ephesians 6:10-12.
