Butler — Joe Stephen Mulloy, 72, passed away Thursday, February 13, 2025, at River Valley Nursing Home, in Butler.
For over 25 years, Steve was a self-employed insurance agent with Shelter Insurance in Butler, Kentucky. Prior to that, he dedicated over 10 years to his career as a mortician and funeral director with Woodhead Funeral Home. With his strong work ethic and attention to detail, he was able to spend his professional years providing expertise, guidance, and comfort to those experiencing some of life’s most difficult moments. That was where he truly shined.
Steve and Linda Mulloy were married in August of 1970 and shared three children. Together they shared a love of UK basketball, the Cincinnati Reds, the tranquility of nature, and the pursuit of knowledge through reading. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the Falmouth Public Library in memory of Steve and Linda Mulloy.
Preceding him in death, in addition to his parents, Mary Jo and Maurice Mulloy; wife, of 45 years, Linda Mulloy; brothers, Ron Mulloy, Pat Mulloy and Mark Mulloy.
Surviving him are his sons, Philip Mulloy, Mark Mulloy (Angel); daughter, Megan Mulloy-Huhn (Nick); grandchildren, Mackenzie Mulloy, Jarrett Mulloy, Chase Green, Harper Huhn, August Huhn; great-grandson, Cooper Mulloy; brother, Gordon Mulloy (Cheryl).
In keeping with Steve’s wishes, there will be no public visitation service.
A private service will be held with family prior to burial alongside his wife Linda at Mt. Vernon Cemetery.
